The Old Stagecoach Stop Foundation

"to preserve, restore, protect and maintain the historic structure in Waynesville, Missouri known as the "Old Stage Coach Stop" in order to permit its educational value to be appreciated by future generations; to engage in educational and charitable activities related to the "Old Stage Coach Stop".

The Foundation was officially incorporated on June 8, 1983 for the express purpose of saving the building from demolition. The first Annual Meeting was held at Witmor Farms Restaurant on October 2, 1984. Chairman Robert Dodds presided.

The main activities of the Foundation in its first ten years was to stabilize and preserve the building. This required constant fundraising. The Foundation retired the debt mortgage of $40,000 (plus interest) and the matching grant debt of $13,200 for building stabilization by 1993.

Since 1993, the Foundation has been restoring the building, one room each year. Ongoing maintenance is another responsibility.

The Foundation's Board of Directors currently comprises ten members. The Board meets the first Tuesday of each month, except for August and December. The current Board of Directors are:
