This card is addressed to "Mrs. Black", most likely meaning Eliza Black, Amanda's mother. The message referred to her hard work on a quilt. An identical card was also sent to Mr. Jimmy Black, who was Jimmy Bostick, Eliza'a grandson. He was living with Eliza and Amanda.
