This was the second state normal school constructed, begun in 1906. This card, postmarked 1910, was from Mabel, a frequent correspondent with Amanda. Mabel allows as "I hate[d] to leave Waynesville.Would no come back now for anything." Mabel is attending the normal school for her teacher preparation.
